Sensei Glenn Raus began Wado Ryu training under Japan Karate Institute founder, Sensei Dale Coker, in 1999. He currently holds the rank of Shodan (First Degree Black Belt) and is a graduate of the Japan Karate Institute Instructors Academy.
S. Glenn is a former school teacher who moved to the Charleston area in 1996. He holds a B.S. in Secondary Education from Juniata College, located in Huntington, PA. He is also an Eagle Scout and holds the rank of Vigil Honor in the Order of the Arrow.
In October on 2003, he opened the Daniel Island dojo of Japan Karate Institute. S. Glenn was employed as Blackbaud's conference coordinator for seven years before dedicating himself full time to the Daniel Island dojo in September of 2004
