Little Ninjas is a nationally recognized program specifically designed by NAPMA (National Association of Professional Martial Artists) for children ages 3 to 5. The program focuses on the 8 life skills that children of this age are currently developing: Balance, Control, Coordination, Discipline, Fitness, Focus, Memory and Teamwork.
During class, one life skill is highlighted and reinforced through dynamic and fun activities. Each skill is focused in 8 week cycles. During the course of Little Ninjas, your child will also learn the basic techniques of our style of karate, Wado Ryu.
The program is designed to take your child through 12 to 24 months of instruction, depending on individual progress and age. Each child can eventually advance into our regular karate curriculum. Belt tests are conducted every 3 months and each little ninja receives an individualized assessment of their progress...as well as a new belt.
With consistent participation, parents can expect to see improvement in the little ninja's listening skills, ability to control their actions, attention span, politeness, coordination and physical fitness.
At Japan Karate Institute Daniel Island, we strive to make Little Ninjas a program that your child will look forward to attending every week. Individual attention is paid to each little ninja and a strong and positive instructor/student relationship is fostered. Parent feedback is strongly encouraged to effectively identify each child.s specific areas of need.
